Across the world there are so many different types of street food with one remaining constant – satay. Each country, city, village, street and different street stalls will prepare their own version of satay. In this class with personal chef Sarah Nguyen you will learn to make red curry beef satay, mint feta lamb satay and shrimp covered in herb satay – along with sides to go with them.

Summer Fun!

Summer is the time to have fun with your taste buds, let them run wild! Let start with something refreshing, smoke salmon wrapped in dill cream cheese and cucumber peddles garnished with salmon roe. Tease it with a second course of grilled leeks rolled in flank steak served on a bed of arugula salad drizzled with mint ginger dressing. And for the main course, a mouth-watering grilled balsamic glazed Tiger shrimps with lemon thyme grilled seasonal vegetables on a bed of cauliflower puree. Egg is not only for breakfast or Sunday Brunch. Egg may seem very simple but it’s the most versatile, nutritious ingredient to work with. It can be complex and luxurious as you make it. We will start off by making bacon and pea with goat cheese egg frittata, crust less French quiche, and Moroccan tomato eggs which is good any meal of the day.

In this class you will learn to make vegetarian dishes with high iron and protein content that you will not miss having any meat. For starter, a Creamy Mushroom and Leek soup served with Almond Thyme with aged cheddar crackers, Sprouted Mix Bean warm salad, Roasted Vegetable medallions served with balsamic glaze on a bed of black rice and finishing the meal of with a Honeydew Sago (tapioca pearl) dessert.

Thai Summerlious!

Thai Summerlious! Thai street food is a lot of fun and tasteful to sample. We will start with some roasted coconut cashew as a nibbler as you watch how Green Mango Salad served with fresh seasonal herbs is made. For the main, we will WOW you with grilled Sea Scallop brushed with a sweet and spicy coriander glazed, grilled Tiger Shrimp brushed with Pineapple mint glazed. We will finish off with a grilled pineapple and mango skewers served with a sweet and spicy spice and garnished with some fresh herbs to tie your senses together.

Summer is a time to freshen up your pallet and introduce them to the season’s finest herbs. Let’s start off with a mouth-watering Watermelon cube served with creamy Feta cheese garnished with fresh mint and drizzled with my special glaze which you will learn how to make. Now that your taste buds are woken up, let’s introduce them to Shaved Asparagus served with a lemon dill dressing and garnished with shaved age Parmigiano-Reggiano and for the main course we have grilled lamb Chop seasoned with Lemon Thyme and served on a bed of black rice sauté with seasonal vegetables. And there is always room for dessert! Wow everyone with a deconstructed Parfait.

The holidays are coming and you’re running out of fun ideas to entertain and feed your guests. It’s always nice to have a cheese platter that is interesting.
