Hands on – Japanese Art of Sushi Making

Japanese cuisine is known for its art of sushi making.  In this class, we will be exploring and practicing this art.  You will learn to make California rolls, vegetable rolls, salmon hand roll as well as how to prepare sushi and sashimi. You will also learn how to adjust the recipe to what’s available and to your own liking.

Survival Meals – 30 minute meals

After a day of preparing breakfast, packing lunch, bus the kids to school, clean the house, run some errands, pick up the kids, bus them to their activities and now what’s for dinner? Take a deep breath, help is here.  We are going to whip up candied Smoked Turkey Mac and Cheese Sarah Style! Creamy gnocchi with pan fry herb chicken, warm grain salad with smoked meat and a creamy butternut squash soup.

Kids Fall Cooking class – ages 10-14

Squash salad with warm vinaigrette, handmade ravioli stuffed with savory ricotta serve with scallion butter sauce or homemade Sugo al Pomodoro (tomato sauce) and Pumpkin Mousse topped with white chocolate whipped cream.

Gluten Free Vegan Meals

This class is designed for families that are vegan or vegetarian and with food intolerance or for families that just wanted to expand their menu options.  On the menu: Sweet potato Mac and Cheese, tahini-roasted cauliflower with lemony herb oil serve with a warm mix sprouted grain salad, and for raw bar (which are great for on the go snacks too).

$60 per person

Fall/Winter Comfort Food – Gluten Free, Vegan options available

The color is in full force, the evening skylight is romantic, the fall air is crisp and there is array of produce offered in the farmers market. Fall is a beautiful time of year when your body crave for food comfort. Let’s start off with a Cremini Mushroom Leek soup garnish with aged white cheddar cheese, mix wild grains medley, serve with grilled smoked Tofu/herb chicken thighs and roasted root vegetables dressed in finger mint pesto.

$65 per person

Soups – Vegan options available

It’s that time of year where you want to have a meal that warms the soul yet nutritious and tasty.  Let’s start with a bowl hardy vegetable soup, Vietnamese pho serve with fresh herbs and Chicken/vegetables, and Sarah’s kitchen – Thai red curry soup serve with glass noodles, slice flank steak/ crispy tofu garnish with blanched vegetables and fresh herbs.
